Birthday certificates signifying your milestone birthday from the premier of most provinces. Each province has its own milestones of when they will send a letter. You can also request one His Majesty the King.
What you have to do:
Fill out and application/submit a form to the Office of the Premier. Click on the link for the province you live in for more details and what milestones you can apply for:
- Alberta - Congratulatory 65th birthday scroll and every 5 years after
- British Columbia - Will coordinate a wide variety of birthday messages for you from their department of protocol:
- His Majesty King Charles III, Age 100 +
- Governor General of Canada, Age 90 +, Interval: 5 years; every year after 100th
- Prime Minister of Canada, Age 75 +, Interval: 5 years; every year after 100th
- Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, Age 90 +
- Premier of British Columbia, Age 75 +
- Leader of the Official Opposition of British Columbia, Age 75 +
- Member of the Legislative Assembly (M.L.A.), Age 75 +
- Manitoba - Congratulatory 65th birthday greeting and every 5 years after
- New Brunswick - Congratulatory birthday greeting (doesn't seem to be an age restriction)
- Ontario - Congratulatory 80th+ Birthday
- Quebec - Congratulatory 60th birthday greeting and every 5 years after
- You can also request a message from the Governor General and His Majesty the King.
The low down:
Well, I was surprised that not all provinces offered this, considered the feds did. Or atleast the provinces not listed here did not make this service obvious on the website. Each one of these provinces listed, has a link to this service right off the home page of the Office of the Premier. Good for them for trying to connect.
